Confessions of a Blog Snoop

Well, I have decided that I must confess. I am a blog snoop and I love it. I have really been enjoying reading about what friends and family and there friends and families are up too. People that I knew in what seems to be a past life are again alive to me.

I love reading about what God is doing in people's lives it is so encouraging! So, those of you who have unwittingly let me enter your lives, thank-you!

Making Pizza

The boys and I often enjoy making pizza for lunch.

Camping for the May Long Weekend

This weekend we got to go to Nanimo's Living Forest Campground. We went with friends (5 other couples and one baby Owen) from church. Although the forecast was iffy we had a great time enjoying the sunshine (no rain!!!!) It was fun all sleeping in the tent together and enjoying life in God's amazing creation.

Riley Had His Hearing Tests

Today Riley and I went to the Vancouver Island Hearing Clinic to get his hearing tested. He passed with flying colors! Last year from January - October he had 12 diagnosed ear infections, pnuemonia and several chest infections. He was on antibiotics for almost a year straight! In October he got tubes put in his ears and has had only one ear infection since!!!! Sorry for the poor picture. It is of Riley with the headphones on that they tested his hearing with.

Now we know that if it appears that he can't hear us he is actually just not listening!

I miss my friend Tracey

This is my friend Tracey. Her birthday is at the end of this month and I've been thinking about her lately. Tracey died almost 4 years ago and I miss her. Thanks for sharing your fun loving spirit with me Tracey. Sometimes I find myself singing Christmas songs in summer, just for fun, it always reminds me of Tracey.

Did you know we have a jungle outside our house?

Ty and Riley love to play in the bushes outside of our house. They call it a jungle and often look for purple kangaroos in it. So far they haven't found any but I'll keep you updated. . .

Gymnastics

This day it was pyjama day at gymnasticsFun on the horizontal bar above the foam pit.
Don't you wish you were a kid? (or a stay-at-home mom that gets to play everyday)?

Today is Wednesday. . . . GYMNASTICS!!!!!

If you ever ask Tyler what he wants to do the answer always is, "Oh, I know, let's go to gymnastics". Wednesday morning is gymnastics. Here we enjoy about an hour of balance beams, floor exercises, summer saults, tramps, and the foam pit. These are a few pictures from this morning.

Pin the Tail on the Donkey

Tyler and Riley love getting mail in the mailbox and one day Auntie Katie and Uncle Jerry sent Pin the Tail on the Donkey. . . Ty loves it! Riley just likes to spin and put the tail on, he's not so much for the blindfold.

Caddy Bay Beach Fun

Last summer we went to "Art in the Park" at Caddy Bay. This beach is about three blocks from our house. We enjoy spending time here.

Camping. . .with friends!!!!

Last year we had the opportunity to go camping with some of our friends and it was so fun! We get to go again this May long weekend!!!!

This is James and Hil Kingsley.

This is Andy and JL Renton.

This is Curt and Laura Thiessen.

This is Anton Andrews (we don't have a picture of his wife Erin but I'm working on that!)

"Our" Owen

This is Tyler and Riley's friend Owen (and his Daddy Anton). He also happens to be our neighbor and his parents Anthony and Erin are our good friends. We like to go on Sunday morning "Family Fun Days". We usually do something like this Beacon Hill Children's Farm and Park and or the beach. It is a lot of fun, greatly enjoyed by all of us!

A few of our favorite things. . . .
