Fun in the Sun
While Cory worked in the Law building on his take-home Family Law exam the boys and I played outside with our neighbors Jose and Christobal. (I think that Jose is somewhat of Riley's "hero". He calles him Pose (P-oh-say), and is constantly saying, "Mommy look at Pose! Mommy I saw Pose. Mommy where is Pose? Mommy, I skateboard with Pose?") Everyone had a lot of fun. We filled our little pool with water and turned on our sprinkler. Tyler ran, screamed, giggled and got very wet for over an hour. Riley laughed too but mostly at what the other kids were doing. He didn't really want to get that wet (which is probably good considering the tubes in his ears). Riley did enjoy sitting in the pool though (after I added the warm water).

Weekend FUN!!
This weekend we had SOOOO much fun with Tyler & Meghan. (Thanks for coming out!!!) On Father's Day we went to China Beach. It is a short hike (about 20 minutes or so) down to beautiful beach and ocean. What an amazing place! We all really enjoyed ourselves. Tyler even hiked the whole hike (down and up) by himself!

Operation Trackshoes!
What a fun weekend! These are the four girls that I was with this weekend. I was a counsellor in the junior program (kids 6-12). Two of the girls are peer counsellors and two of the girls were competitors.
After very little sleep, lots of sunshine, energetic dances, some tears (I blame that on being pregnant but I always get emotional at these types of events. . . especially the hurdles this year. . . what a great event!) . . . I think that everyone was glad to sleep in their own beds last night. And as a bonus my boys slept until 7:45 am this morning!!!!! Yay!!!!

"Crash the Shoes"
I just went into the kitchen after checking my e-mail and this is what I found. The boys then explained to me that it is called "crash the shoes". Apparently there are some rules about how the game works but the basic jist is that they run from the end of the hallway and dive onto the shoes. (Now I know why I am constantly cleaning up shoes!)

I need poop!
Riley has made a new discovery. Whenever he makes the statement, "I need poop", Mommy or Daddy come running and rush him to the closest toilet. (He is doing very well at remembering to always do his poop on the potty!) He also has discovered though, that even if he really doesn't have to poop we still come running and he whisked away from whatever situation he finds himself in. He has decided to use this to his advantage. He often says it after he is in bed for the night. In the middle of the night last night he was crying so I went to him, he asked for milk and I said no, he said "please", I said "no" then, still half asleep he says, "I need poop". The little stinker. (I didn't fall for it this time.)

We're sick again
This is an old picture (from last year when Riley seemed to constantly have a fever and ear infection or chest infection or pneumonia . . . . ) but you get the idea. . . the boys have both been throwing up this morning. I feel kind of sick too (but that could be power of suggestion or this little one that I am carrying.) So far I've been ok and Cory seems ok too. . . . .
